 |
We are overwhelmed with how much
our friends and colleagues are impressing us. Yes, even we know
nice, caring people. It is good to see so many good people kicking
a little back, sharing the love and really going out of their way
to do something selfless and good.
We support you all! And, you should too. All it takes is a mouse
click and a few bucks. And, while you are at it, support local music
too. |

Support our friend Ray
in the LIVESTRONG Challenge.
Our good friend Ray is going to pedal and pedal his way to 75-100
miles and raise at least $2000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
He's riding to honor the memory of two people who made a difference
in his life. And, people who make a difference are very cool in
our book. So, cough up a little spare change and help our friend
make a difference.
Follow this link to visit Ray's personal web page and help him
with his efforts to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation: http://philly07.livestrong.org/raymilora?faf=1&e=1103063038

Support Franny!!!
Franny is 8 years old and she already wiser than most of us.
Click to see Franny's words of wisdom. Now the little
sweetheart is raising $1000 for the Boys & Girls Club. She's riding
10 miles on her bike! You go, girl! What an inspiration.
Since you aren't riding 10 miles anytime soon, why not make a donation?
You'll feel good, she'll reach her goal and eventually the world
will be a better place.

Fundraising
Event for Leukemia and Lymphoma
Our friend, Kathy Woods, is sponsoring a Fundraising Event for Leukemia
and Lymphoma Team in Training at Manayunk Brew Pub. She is running
a marathon and has committed to raising $4500 for this charity -
in particular, a patient named Amber. Since it is probably much
easier for you to make a donation than run 26+ miles, how
about helping a sista out? Kathy is an awesome girl, with a fabulous
heart.
Give, give, give!!

AMFIBIAN at World Cafe Live
A local favorite band, led by our new friend Tom (no... he has not
been on American Idol), AMFIBIAN is celebrating the release
of their new record, "Skip the Goodbyes" at the World Cafe
Live. As we've said before... on THIS very page... a rockin' venue
(no, no kickbacks involved, just passing the free love around).
PLUS... tix are only $10 and that includes a shiney
new Amfibian CD. Only 300 tix available. Not only will you have a
good night rockin' in the free world, you'll have a chance to party
with Karen & her famous friend Val. (However, I will not be performing,
unless they cue up Welcome to the Jungle, and I am pretty sure that
is not on the set list.)
Showtime 9PM, doors open at 8.
Get tix here: http://tickets.worldcafelive.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=1876
Sample tunes on AMFIBIAN's myspace page: www.myspace.com/amfibian
Damn, SP needs a myspace page, huh? ROCK ON! See you there. |

Count on an unbearably sweaty weekend, tacky crafts and a lot of
decent artwork somewhere in between. Priceless people-watching,
too. |
